There is no magic answer. The Dawgs have far too many questions at this point to even hope to have them figured out by the end of the season....much less next week. At this point my hope is that we don't get 100 hung on us next week. A few observations from the Miss. State game.
1. Matthew is not looking off his primary route very often.....example....the int he threw to Durham...double coverage and a really bad throw. Also, the TD to Tripp was a great play on his part...you had two guys in routes on that side.....Stafford threw it to Chandler (primary) who was covered rather than checking down to Southerland (secondary) who was open.....turned out to be ok....but makes me jumpy...............That being said....Matthew also did some really good things...the fade to Mo Mass was a thing of beauty.
2. I am starting to think that the problem with our defense might not be as much Martinez as I thought........I think it's possible that this is the only scheme we can run with the guys we have....I think we just might be that bad. Brian Evans is not good and our linebackers look lost...most of all Brandon Miller.....that kid looks clueless. The fact that MSU was in scoring range after two plays scares me to death......and if we don't get to the QB on the last play, we loose, because Paul Oliver got beat and Tra Battle was out of position....the guy was wide open in the corner. The thing that bothers me the most.......broken tackles.....to me that screams lack of strength......and that is a problem we haven't had since Richt came to town....and it's a big problem......Miss. State had scored just 2 TD's in SEC play this year......they put 3 on us in one game......not good.
3. Running Backs......I thought Lump had a pretty good game.....he still is no threat to go all the way....I just watched Clemson beat the pooh out of the insects.....you want to see backs that are a threat.....watch Clemson. If Danny Ware doesn't stop dancing aroud like a fairy everytime he gets the ball I'm going to hurt myself.....A guy built like that should never run like he runs...or fumble......If I was built like him.......I'd run into people for shits and giggles.....and I don't just mean during games.....I mean like all the time.
4. Some of our recievers had really good games.....great job by Harris on our last drive seeing as he lost one of his shoes at the line of scrimage. Goodman had a good day and Mikey looked good except for the fumble. Mo Mass.....I can't figure it out....not sure if he's pressing or what...I will say this....I am begining to hate our fans....what they did to him today shows the overall lack of class our fan base has.....makes me sick.
We tried to give that game away today....talked to Haynes tonight and he had an very good point.....at this time....our MVP.......is our freakin' fullback.......and that's not good.
I am worried about next week......not that we won't win......I don't expect us to win.....I'm worried about how bad they beat us......Leak could pick us apart and Tebow could run for 300 yards.....That being said I'm holding out hope that we can sneak up on them.

Honestly, we need the biggest upset of the year Saturday. The spread is 14 right now and I think that is probably about right if we don't turn the ball over.
Here are some tidbits from the papers.
Stafford's 11-yard touchdown pass to Mohamed Massaquoi in the second quarter ended a 28-quarter span where no Georgia receiver caught a scoring pass.
His 20 completions, 32 pass attempts, 267 yards and two touchdowns all represent career highs for the youngster.
TH: Tough to assess when you are 20/32, had at least 4 dropped, and threw 3 picks. I will say when he looked good, he looked REAL good.
Stafford said it was the most passes he'd thrown in a game since his sophomore season of high school, when he led his Highland Park (Texas) team to an upset of defending state champ Ennis. He completed 26 of 36 passes for 403 yards that day.
"Nobody's lost any confidence in him," he said. "He's one of the best receivers we've got."
-Staff on MoMass
"I wasn't really rattled. I knew I could play the game, I've been playing it my whole life. I just tried to come out and play as best I could to help the team win," Evans said. "I kind of figured that they were gonna come at me, being a new starter."
"I let a couple of routes get away from me, but overall I think my performance was OK but not great," Evans said. "I did make a lot of mistakes."
TH: Sorry buddy. We love you for being a Dawg but you got torched.
After spraining the medial collateral ligament in his left knee last week, center Nick Jones (MCL sprain) was questionable before the game, but dressed out, started and played the entire game.
Linebacker Darius Dewberry injured his hamstring in the first half and did not play in the second half.
TH: Jones is a gamer for playing. Richt said up till KO, he was still hurting pretty bad. AC and I saw Dewberry get ONE play, then he went out.
Richt is hopeful injured offensive guard Chester Adams (ankle) and Milner (toe) will return for Saturday's Florida game, but still considers them questionable.
Andy Bailey 's missed extra point in the fourth quarter ended Georgia's streak of 62 straight made PATs.
TH: We need Milner in a bad way, just for protection. I'd like to see how well we can do running that 2003 offense (our line sucked) when we kept a TE home, sent one out on receiver, and kept the FB home. That was some of Reggie Brown's finest work, being the only receiver in the mix. I think we go MAX protect, if Richt hadn't made the comment after MSU that Staff likes the 4 receiver set.
I have no confidence in our kicking game. None. Extra points are up for grabs at this point.
The last time Georgia had five turnovers in a game was a 21-10 loss to South Carolina in 2000
TH: An ugly reminder.
Battle admitted his team gave up too many big plays -- and that's the last thing Georgia should be doing just before facing a receiving tandem the caliber of Florida's Dallas Baker, Percy Harvin, Jemalle Cornelius and Andre Caldwell.
TH: Just seeing those guys' names makes me cringe.
"We kind of talked about how we wanted to throw the ball around a bit," Stafford said. "It was definitely fun to get out there and toss it around."
I love it that Staff's attitude is such. It bothered me at first, but he is basically seeing it how he should. A ball game, to be played and enjoyed.
"We need our fans behind us 100 percent," said Ware, a junior running back. "We go out and try to stay as positive and focused as we can and for them to show that kind of character is just sickening to your stomach to know that the people who are supposed to be behind you no matter what would boo a person just because he drops a ball."
TH: While I agree totally, Ware needs to stay quiet until he starts producing.
“I'm sure the fans would all say they still love Mohamed Massaquoi, but at that time they let it out."3
Leave it to Coach Richt to put the proper perspective on the MoMass situation. I don't know if the players get mail, but I scribbled off a quick note of encouragement to #1 this morning.
Senior offensive tackle Daniel Inman was called for three false starts.
TH: You're a senior. Act like one.
Georgia continues to resemble a car being driven by somebody learning to drive a stick shift for the first time.
TH: Good description by the ABH sports editor.
If it wasn't evident Saturday, the time has arrived. Georgia has started to prepare for next year.
Georgia, based on evidence gleaned the past five weeks, will struggle to win two more times. Even Kentucky in two weeks is not a sure bet. Not this year. Not with this team.
Hug them when necessary. Punish when needed.
But stick with them, like Richt did on Saturday.
Every one of Stafford's 20 completions ended up in the arms of juniors, sophomores and freshmen. All 28 of Georgia's runs were handled by underclassmen.
