Life Lesson from Al, #5

You gotta watch out for them boys that ride bulls. One ol' boy in North Florida started riding when he was nothin' but a kid. He had red hair, bout 6'1, and weighed no more than 165 lbs. Well, one day, this big ol' linebacker, bout 6'4" and 240, started pickin' on him. He says, "You think these bulls are tough, I'll show you tough."

Anyway, that ol' skinny kid (his daddy played football for Florida State and was the principal of the high school but he married a little bitty ol' thing so his boys was skinny) beat the ____ outta that bully. Broke his arm, his nose, I don't know what all. Course his parents wanted to sue and this, that and the other...

Dave Fagg, my former head coach at Davidson, used to say, "It's not the size of the dog in the fight, it's the size of the fight in the dog."

Needless to say, while at Davidson, usually the bigger dog won.

So.....is that the same thing as..."it's not the size of the hammer...it's how you swing it"..??
