Looks like Tony Taylor and Gordon Ely-Kelso were picked up by the Falcons post-draft as free agents. Although I question whether either have NFL calibre talent, at times I have been amazed by Taylor's nose for the ball. His lack of dazzling skill often was overshadowed by just being where the play was going. Without his interceptions last year the Dawgs would've lost at least 2 more.
Gordon Ely-Kelso (with a name like his there is not a manly position on the field other than kicker to play) is a longshot in my book. While he was consistent, he always appeared to be in slow motion.
While UGA was not as prominent in the draft this year as in the past, I couldn't help but applaud when the SEC was represented over and over again early on and Brady Quinn, the USC squad, and the rest kept dropping lower and lower and lower. To think that Jay Cutler from Vandy will most likely be a better NFL QB than the almighty Brady Quinn is sweet in my book.
Any post draft thoughts.

I for one wish the Dirty Birds would have come out of the coma they were in for decades a little earlier.....but it will be nice to see (if they make the roster) some dawgs in the dome. I think Trez has the ability to be a good TE in the league...and a really good one if he gets his hands figured out. As far as TT goes I think Jeebs nailed it....the guy just has a nose for the ball and he works hard...I would love to see him make it and the Birds could use a LB with D. Williams out. Gordo on the other hand...well, I'm not sure how he will do...this past year at least he seemed real open to getting blocked...and Special Teams guys in the NFL are the real deal. It was good to see the number of dawgs get picked up in FA...I did notice that the teams, for the most part, that picked those guys up already had some experience with players from Athens....I think this speaks well for Georgia...
As far as Quinn is concerned, I thought it was indeed funny that that the second coming of Joe Montana was sitting back there with his arm candy while pick after pick called someone else's name....so sweet. I was surprised that Miami didn't take him....they don't have a QB and even if the get Trent Green....is he really a long term fix??? Ted Ginn, Jr is great if he runs in a straight line, as far as routes go, and I can see him being a good return guy...but at that pick??? Sounded like the folks in Miami weren't too happy either.
Overall, I was happy with the Falcons draft...I think the guy is incredible but I was glad we didn't sell the farm to land Calvin....I just don't think he's the answer for them. I thought they did a good job of addressing some needs.
