Big Shoes

So if this thing with Munson happens........who replaces him??? Do you guys realize how long it will take to get used to someone else as the voice of the Dawgs??

I've heard for sometime...and more than once that many would like to see Scott Howard and Jeff Danzler together.....I like both these guys and think they would do a good job......Who else is out there that would be any good?

The TV signal is so delayed and guys are getting tackled on the radio while the TV guys are taking the snap.

Sad to say, but I think the great radio announcer days are gone - maybe a game or two that aren't televised.

That being said, I can't believe the paper actually had Wes Durham listed as a possible replacement. He's good and all but he's got a rather taint-y, nerdish, stench. STAYNCH!

That is a good point, Toom.....To be honest...I only hear Munson in replays.....never bought a headset for the games in Athens...If he comes back for one more....I might pull the trigger on that...

Blasphemy! The voice of the Jackets becomes the voice of the Dawgs?!? They might as well just pull another vanilla commentator out of the till. I think toom is right; there just aren't any radio heroes anymore.

ct: may I recommend the Sansa c240 mp3/FM player. Good price, small, and perfect for gameday. Small earphones, too. Don't be the guy in the earmuffs with antennae.

First, I hope buck doesn't get the job he is bad!... I think that Wes Durham is a great choice but I am bias do to his North Carolina connection. Woody has done the Tar Heels for about as long as Munson. Wes is not a Tech guy he has worked for 3 or 4 different schools starting with Elon college in the '80's. I think it should be Scott and Jeff. They make Dawg basketball exciting and I want my radio guys to be "homers"!!!,....for TV games, I have found DVR works great just pause for about 7 seconds and you are money!!

Scott Howard appears to be the heir. But I do think Belue would be a nice complement, having played and all.
