I would like to submit a list of reasons why I would make an excellent candidate for the coaching vacancy you have for the Duke football team. While I have never played football
beyond the intramural and recreational flag football level, I believe that my performance on Playstation's NCAA2007 deserves some consideration. While playing on the Rookie level, I
coached the Georgia Bulldogs on the Dynasty mode for 25 years. During
that span I won 18 national titles and 25 SEC titles, which is pretty
impressive considering I did this while playing in a BCS conference.
My success came from running a balanced offense, using a power running
game to set up the pass out of a pro-style formation. Defensively, I
ran an aggressive 4-3 defense and brought on a nickel defense for
passing downs. Special Teams were never a factor in my scheme, however
I would be willing to hire on a specialist to compensate for my lack of
knowledge.
I was successful in nationally recruiting players that fit into my playing philosophy. During my tenure as coach my team finished in the
top 5 of every recruiting class, and of those players that I recruited 12
won the Heisman trophy, 18 won the Doak Walker trophy, 8 won the Butkus
award and 7 won the Biletnikoff award. What I am most proud of is that none of my teams were EVER
plagued by scandal and my program was never investigated by the NCAA,
which is the result of recruiting players that have both talent and
exceptional moral values.
While I am very proud of my time on the Playstation, I feel that I have
met that challenge and would like to meet a new challenge of winning in
the ACC and carrying on the proud tradition that is Blue Devil Football.
I thank you for time in considering me for your Head Coahing position.

Well....it was worth a shot.....unfortunately I finished second just behind David Cutcliff who is now the Head Coach at Duke University.
Yeah....what is Cutcliff thinking? Is this really the only opening that gave him and interview and a shot to be a head coach again? When his name never came up in any of the conversations concerning the openings...I just assumed he was not interested in being a head coach again unless it was at UT. Oh well, shows what I know. BTW- you can coach my team anytime, big boy.
