Heisman Thoughts....

I have known for some time that Heisman winners do not traditionally play well in the bowl games following the ceremony....but I have never seen any real statistics. As I watched Florida and Tebow struggle in the 1st half.......I thought I would do a little research....and here's what I found. I went back to 1980...but probably could have gone farther. I think the results speak for themselves. There are a few times where the team actually won IN SPITE OF the Heisman winner (ie- FSU in 1993 with Charlie Ward...he played awful that game) and other times where the team the Heisman winner played was pretty weak as the team was not in a great bowl (Ron Dayne and Ricky Williams in '98, '99).

Michigan also just exposed how to beat the Gators.....get up and put pressure on Tebow. He is very good...but when he has to throw....he is not nearly as effective. I wonder if he will cry in the post game interviews.
