DeKalb County police Thursday were investigating an early morning shooting that left a 34-year-old man dead.When officers stopped a vehicle on U.S. 78 around 2 a.m. for speeding, they discovered the victim unconscious in the back seat of the car, DeKalb police spokesman Marcus Hodge said.
Hodge said the driver told police that he and the victim had been at The Other Bar on Lawrenceville Highway, and that the victim had started throwing up blood. He told officers he was trying to get the man to the hospital when he was pulled over.
The victim was taken to DeKalb Medical Center, where he later died, and where the gunshot wound was discovered.
The man's name was being withheld until relatives could be notified.
Just before daybreak, detectives were interviewing potential witnesses at the bar and looking for shell casings and other evidence, Hodge said.

I heard a news report that said police had gotten into a foot chase with a suspect but that he had eluded them on account of his always veering to the right.......or was it the left......anyway, sounded like Lump to me.....
I see Shady weekly here at FBA, and while the Crazy lady walking is dead she still may have done it. She had enough meanness in her to walk into traffic while shaking her finger at speeding cars, and it just may have lived on somehow.
When she was in the street she scared me so much that I sped up. When she was cursing at the wood pile I always slowed down to see if her words could make it burn.
I'll tell you this....if that lady is reaching out from the other side.......I'm in deep......deep doodoo.
