This is as good as I've felt going into the Carolina game in a long time.
And that is a recipe for disaster. Shoot, years ago, they'd gone 1-10 and we go over there and get whipped.
But this SC team simply doesn't have the talent, there's no one on offense that can come close to hurting us.
And the last time I heard that kind of talk was us going down to Auburn a couple years ago when we had no chance.
From CBS' Gary Danielson, who is actually pretty darn good at what he does...
“I go on record that this is the game of the season for South Carolina. This may be the game of Steve Spurrier coaching era at South Carolina. He really needs this football game,” Danielson said.
And the last time I heard that kind of talk it was coming from the Volunteers before UGA / Tennessee last year.
So yeah, I'd characterize my mood as confidently shaky and optimistically scared.

I can't see us losing really....unless we just lay an egg.....that's not to say we can't lay an egg....I just don't think we will.......I know they lead the SEC in D but unless I'm wrong it looks like they are living off of the NC State game as far as their average (around 181 per game)I don't know for sure but I think Vandy put more than that up.....so in my mind...Their D has not really been tested because NC State sucks.
I know better than to think we will blow them out...even though we should....but I think we are just much better than they are.
We win this game easily. NC State lost their starting QB in the 1st quarter and they were moving the ball on USC. Let just say the talent level dropped at the QB significantly for NCSU after that injury. Dawgs 30-10! To much talent. Last year we were not ready! This year we are. Motivation, They beat us last year! So we will be prepared.
Unless we resurrect Quincy Carter to throw 5-6 INTS then we should walk away with this one. I'm pumped, because I think Spurrier's visor will spend more time in the mud than on his head this Saturday.
How many and who will be back from Suspension this week?
munzenmeier (mostly special teams) back and Dewberry (mostly one bad dude).
Weston also back from injury.
