This has actually soothed all the issues I had with the Tech loss.....do they not realize that they perpetuate their punchline status with stuff like this???
From the AJC:
Georgia Tech has figured out another way to remember its win over Georgia.
As part of its bowl bounty, Tech is giving each player a ring. Coach Paul Johnson left the design of ring to the team’s seniors. He said the seniors decided to include the score of the Georgia game, 45-42, in the ring’s design. The win snapped a seven-game losing streak to the Bulldogs.
Can you imagine UGA getting rings for breaking the streak TN or FL had on us...I would be embarrassed to be a fan......but these ass clowns will wear them with pride. It almost makes me feel sorry for them........but not really.

I had the same take on this.
At Davidson, when we scored a TD (which did happen occasionally) coach could not stand a show-off. He always said, "Act like you've been there (in the endzone) before." Tech is acting like a bunch of kids who have not been there before. Celebrate yes, but do it as if winning were a way of life; what you expected to do.
Instead, you'd think wins against UGA come around as often as Haley's Comet and that they were as surprised at the outcome as my tubed-tied neighbor when she found out she was pregnant.
These are goofballs who will never build a tradition of winning unless they start acting like this is the beginning of a long line of victories over their in-state rival.
to be fair...we retired a guys jersey when he helped break an 8 game loss to the insects.
Still, a ring when no championship was won? Pretty funny. Also gotta paraphrase something I read on Blutarsky's blog. That Les Miles, after faking a punt and throwing deep up 35 has earned this Bulldog's affections. Les, we salute thee, 2008 honorary Bulldog.
