Friday is here and time for some picks. I've been saying on any given weekend, you can find 3 college games that stand out as easy bets. Maybe it's time to put that to the test.
Here're some that jumped out at me.
WV-22 @ UConn
WV scores on just about every possesion. UConn is not good. Give the points up.
MSU+18 @ UGA
I'm not stupid enough to bet UGA because I realize my lack of objectivity, but in this case, the points look attractive on our offense.
Louisville-17 @ Syracuse
Louisville's banged up but it's all about the system. Give the 17.
Tulane @ Auburn-31.5
That's a lot of points but Tubby loves to put up big numbers on lesser opponents.
Iowa+12.5 @ Michigan
That's a big number in what looks to me like a classic Big 10 matchup.
Texas-4.5 @ Nebraska
Texas rolls.
Wisconsin-6 @ Purdue
Alabama @ Tennessee-11
This is a trap game because here's hoping UT folds like a cheap suit. Their offense looks pretty good, though and Bama is living on borrowed time.
Oregon-3.5 @ Washington State
NFL
Jacksonville @ Houston+9.5
Take the points. That's too many for an NFL game. Houston stinks but the Jags aren't necessarily world beaters.
Washington @ Indy-9
That's too many points. But we're talking Indy. In this case, give it up.
Here are my big ones. I'd put my money on these...
GT+7.5 @ Clemson
I think Tech is 50/50 to win straight up. Take points.
Mississippi+21 @ Arkansas
Are you kidding me? This is my can't miss pick.
USC-4 @ Vandy
I think Vandy has the letdown in this one. Spurrier's got it working again.
Pittsburgh-2.5 @ Atlanta
The NFL is crazy and I don't usually follow it enough, but I'm afraid the Falcons are headed for a fall. Ben looks like he may be back. Take the Steelers.

I need GT to go down.....but I need them to go down at the hands of Reggie Ball....I need to know he's still who I think he is.....a fooker who will do something stupid and cost them a game. I agree that the dirty birds are in T-R-O-U-B-L-E (thanks Travis). The only team i've seen with worse hands than the Dawgs...i'm not sure why we think running the Denver run blocking and a sudo west-coast offense is going to work....the QB has to be a quick read.....and that ain't Mike. After watching what the G-Men did to us in half of a game....not so sure that we even give Pitt much of a problem.
What's a "fooker". I know I'm a little sheltered...but help me out here. Crchunk
