Does anyone else think the Birds are in real trouble? I mean, come on, we can Mora and it looks as if Blank is considering assistant-types who've never been head coaches. I think we should jump into the Saban fray, course it is probably too late now.

I think Mora is this players' guy who couldn't stand up to Vick and be a boss. You know how some guys, like Blank, command respect? Players straighten up when they approach. We need someone like that as coach. Like a Don Shula, Bill Parcells. Actually, Reeves was that until he was emasculated. Cowher would be perfect, in my mind. Maybe Jimmy Johnson. Bradley thinks Norm Chow, and I don't know that he fits the bill but he's got the qb pedigree.

Next hire will be huge - and if they're taking the approach that "You have to work with Vick as starter, non-negotiable", I don't like it and I don't think the coach we need will work under that mandate. There's no way Mike Ditka would say, "OK, I'll play Vick no matter what" and put up with the owner in his ear the whole game.
