A Little Twinny Twin Twin..........
Toom touched on this earlier today...I figured I'd start a new thread......Mike Vick......what is this guy's problem????? He has zero judgement skills........Mike....if the pigs take your weed...and they don't know they took your weed......DON'T MAKE A STINK!!!!.....Just go get on the plane! In my opinion, this kid is what he is.....you can only dress him up so much.

The guy is a judgment juvenile. He has no moral compass, and guy like Mora was either unable or unwilling to take on the task of making Vick "reason-able." Petrino's work is cut out for him. Vick is a great athlete, but like it or not, the whole team will be lowered by the "star" quarterback's inability to use good judgment. With Snoop Doggy Vick at QB the Falcons have a lot working against them.

I agree....the question I have is how long do the Falcons allow him to run a muck? I was listening to espn radio today and A guy made the piont that "guys like Mike Vick don't change...if he's a thug at 27, he a thug at 37...he'll just have more money."
Now this may or may not be true but it is something to think about...the has been given the keys to the franchise....do they wise up and take them away? Or do they let him cause a 10 car pile up on I-285?

2 things that strike me from AM radio.
Jeff Schultz had the kahunas in this morning's AJC to call for his dismissal, in one form or another, citing, not play on the field (although I think a case could be made) but the nature of the qb position in the game and the fact that Vick falls FAR short of the expectations of that position. I don't know how you can argue with that.
Secondly, the kid gloves issues like this require lead me to believe that this will continue to polarize the football community in town, what with race always lying beneath the surface on every discussion. I'll predict that next season will be charged with all sorts of political-type controversies, no matter how they play on the field. a) We win with Vick, people will question every move, the character of the organization, b) We lose with Vick and the buzz will be much worse, c) We go with another option and win, management will be raked over the coals for keeping a man down, not giving him a chance, not developing him, etc, d) We lose with another option - everything from support for taking the high road to no-holds-barred chaos.
I would not want to be on staff for the Falcons at this time.
I like vick. the reason the falcons didn't win last year is the "D". How many leads did we blow in the second half last year? I agree that vick can not lead a come back. we were getting leads and "D" would jack it up.I think he will do well in patrino's "O" Now that does not excuse, Vick for what he did in the airport. This is a seperate issue. He should be kick off the team for his off the field issues not on the field stuff.
