Don't know what I think yet. I haven't really had enough time to digest this thought. In reality though, if they are expecting him to pick up the blocking scheme as the sign that he is ready....he won't be ready. I watched him play last year at Buford and I can honestly say that I didn't want him anymore after that game. He was one of the worst blocking backs I had ever seen. Maybe he was being lazy....maybe he was hurt...maybe Buford was just too good....but he looked uninterested or incapable of blocking those guys....and my guess is that UF is a little bit better (although the Buford faithful might argue that one). I doubt we will see him. Just my opinion.
The coaches public comments do point to King having a deficiency as a pass blocker. Seeing how good Moreno has been as a RS-Freshman I would love to have King red-shirted, but you have to have him ready this week.
I'd do what I can with Jason Johnson, but if it looks close on Sunday, and CK would make the difference, I'd go in whole hog. If we are down 14 at half, there's no reason to blow the year when TB may return soon.
In other news, Quentin Moses tried out for the Hapless Falcons, and Will Thompson has been traded to the Georgia Force. We need more Dawgs playing locally at the pro-level.
