Arrival of the King:
14The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the One and Only,[a] who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.
15John testifies concerning him. He cries out, saying, "This was he of whom I said, He who comes after me has surpassed me because he was before me.' " 16From the fullness of his grace we have all received one blessing after another.

Anticipation of the catholic church:
3And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, "Now the dwelling of God is with men, and he will live with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. 4He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away."

So here we find ourselves....stumbling towards Shalom.
