I may not make it to November

ESPN was doing a recruiting rundown and strangely enough, didn't say a whole lot about UGA. To be fair, they were mainly focused on receiver going to Bama and qb who hasn't committed.

The interesting part was when Jesse Palmer and the other dude gave their top 5s. BOTH had UGA #1 for 2008. What the…? ESPN feeling guilty? Or legit respect? Seriously, how would it feel to be ranked #1 preseason or during the season? I don't know if it is a good thing or a bad thing. Imagine a 1 v 2 at Gator Bowl next year, it has happened to me on Playstation, and I took care of bidness... with impugnity. But what if it happened for real?

1. A win would almost automatically put that at the top of my greatest games list.
2. I'd be scared.
3. I'd be nervous
4. Come game time, I'd be sober as a judge. Or at least a bailiff.

I don't think the trip would be much fun though.

5. I just don't see us wanting to talk much.
6. Oasis for breakfast? "I'm afraid I'll just have coffee, ma'am."
7. Would I want to go to Wal-Mart? We'd have to because Haynes won't have any balls, but I doubt I'll be up for making satiric remarks about the gnarly dudes and heinous local chicks.
8. Sure I'd play golf, but I couldn't enjoy it.
9. Of course I'd get the grits at Cowboys, but I'm afraid I wouldn't be able to taste them.
10. Cooter banter? That usually cures what's ailing. Not with all this pressure, though.
11. Clam chowder. Yes, but only for medicinal purposes
12. Dewars? Yes, but see #11
13. Bowling? I don't know, not if they're charging 20 bucks.
14. iPod singing/cruising? I don't know if it would be a good Friday night diversion or if I just couldn't. Maybe if the former drummer from Joan Jett were there...
15. Mountain Dew slushie? Yes, I'd say that would be a definite, but that's Chunk's deal.
16. Naked run to the dumpster? A win and it's "balls out" for everyone!
17. A recall of Loppy the waitress? Only in case of emergency.

And the trip home? A loss means we're done. A win and what else is there? Boys, if I don't make it back from Jacksonville this year, remember me in spirit.

What the heck is "Dewars" at No 12? I have no clue. As for the game.....you're right about the pressure. But just imagine getting past that game and then having to go down to the plains to play a team we SHOULD be able to beat....and then having to play a gimmick offense vs. Tech. Talk about pressure.

The pressure however would be felt by us. I bet the kids on the field would be eating it up....after all, that's why they're there.
