A Decade And Strong

10 years ago to the date.......two of the dearest people I know joined each other on a journey. Many of us at the PRF....in fact maybe all of us were blessed enough to be a part of this day. This was not your run of the mill event.......this was a barrier breaking event......you see Toom and Heather were pioneers......stepping into, what was to the rest of us, the feared unknown....what was even more brave was that Heather allowed us to be involved in the ceremony.....very gutsy!

So ten years later I raise a glass to my friends.....I was blessed to be a part of it then....and even more blessed to be close to you both today.

Thanks CT, I'll drink to that! We're celebrating by taking the kids down to Disney. I guess that makes us crazy.

i should probably be the one to say "THANK YOU" to all the boys. Chris, you are sweet to say that I have put up with you all (thank you for your email) - but, really I came in on your party. Luckily, I already knew some of you before I started dating Tommy. I sometimes wonder if you all accepted me so willingly b/c I have an awesome dad who likes to be with you boys as well!!

I feel so incredibly blessed to get to know your wives and children now. It is such a fun place to be to have seen it all happen ...

Tommy didn't mention that he got me a beautiful ring to go on top of my others ...so, if you are interested in seeing the bling, you'll have to visit my blog.

Thanks again for accepting me into the group and never looking back.

This moment in time did mark a great event in my life as well......not the one in which I got to have Courtney Dixon sit on my knee, although it was some sweet action (C. Waggoner now....sorry Jay, but I always did have a bit of thing for her) ....but that this union was not just one of two people coming together in holy matrimony.....but one that joined my two worlds (Providence/Rehoboth) into one. I, too, salute this great day, and am thankful to Heather for all the late nights that she allowed without walking out on all of Tommy.....or kicking us out directly. Remember all the nights we would spend in Duluth and later in Tucker when Heather would go to bed around 10 after providing all kind of good eats....and then we would wear out our welcome by hanging out till well past midnight? The good news is that most of us have tied the knot at this point (still waiting on the Juice) and the late nights are now coupled late nights these days. Of course, my wife is not much of a late nighter....so we often retire earlier than Heather will allow us to stay....and always much earlier than the old days...unless we are up at the "Log Dawg". Thanks Heath...for putting up with everything we have dished out. You truly "rule".
