No, not real estate. UGA recruiting. Rather then begging recruits to come to school and play 'foose-balll', seems we've turned the tables. The latest ...
Jordan Love of Glen Allen, Va., who said he was told by Georgia’s coaches that they might sign only one cornerback for next year, committed to the Bulldogs on Thursday.
“I called Coach Richt on his cell phone, he sounded like he was with his family,” Love said. “He didn’t recognize my number because I usually call from my mom’s phone. But when he realized it was me, he was glad I was calling. I told him I’m ready to commit, and he seemed excited.”
I also liked the fact that Rodriguez told Love we would take another CB in-state. As if to say, "look, if we get a Georgia commitment, you might not have a spot, but I'll be honest, we may take another if you commit. (Love may play safety) You don't want to reject the Georgia kids if you can help it."
This also in the news
Oconee County’s Zach Mettenberger and Aaron Murray of Plant Senior High in Tampa, Fla., a pair of Georgia commits, have been invited to participate in next week’s Elite 11 quarterback camp in Laguna Beach, Calif.
2 of our QBs invited sounds pretty good. Here's the whole list.
1. RB Washaun Ealey - 5-11 205 lbs. (Twin City, GA - Emanuel Cty Institute)
2. LB Dexter Moody - 6-2, 205 lbs. (Twin City, GA - Emanuel Cty Institute)
3. LB Chase Vasser - 6-3, 205 lbs. (Gainesville, GA - Chestatee HS)
4. OL Chris Burnetts - 6-4, 290 lbs. (LaGrange, GA - Troup HS)
5. QB Zach Mettenberger - 6-5, 210 lbs (Watkinsville, GA - Oconee County HS)
6. S/LB Shawn Williams - 6-1, 195 lbs (Blakely, GA - Early County HS)
7. DL Abry Jones - 6-3, 250 lbs. (Warner Robins, GA - Northside HS)
8. OL Dallas Lee - 6-4, 290 lbs. (Buford, GA - Buford HS)
9. QB Aaron Murray - 6-1, 200 lbs. (Tampa, FL - Plant HS)
10. OT Austin Long - 6-6, 275 lbs. (Memphis, TN - Briarcrest Christian)
11. LB Michael Gilliard - 6-2, 200 lbs. (Valdosta, GA - Valdosta HS)
12. CB Jordan Love - 6-0, 185 lbs. (Glen Allen, VA - Deep Run HS)
A solid Georgia flavor along with the top QB prospect in Florida and a lineman from Tennessee. Not bad. I'd like to see more linemen and hopefully we will. I know we signed plenty but you can never have enough.
Regardless, you know you've arrived when you make a list of the kids you want and you get them, even having to turn some kids away. Almost like PS2.

Now I just wish we could figure out a way the keep the hand full of knuckle heads out of the news during the off-season.
