Jon’s dad (Ed) had open heart surgery where he had five bypasses on Monday and the surgery was a success but he developed some infection in his chest that his body was having trouble fighting off. Yesterday morning they opened him back up to clear out the infection and hoped that they got it all but they didn’t and it became systemic (meaning that it got in his blood stream) and started attacking his entire body. I received word late last night that his body was reacting positively and starting to attack the infection but I just received the following text message:
“They are going to put dad on kidney dialysis around one. Please pray that he responds favorably. He is extremely critical and we need a miracle.”
If you believe in the power of prayer….PLEASE PRAY for Ed.
